About the author...

Jonas Lane is an acclaimed author and educator who is never happier than when he’s telling a tall tale, whether it’s to his readers or the children he visits in schools or teaches daily.

Jonas has written over sixteen books across several different genres - mostly in the fantasy and science fiction fields - including the hugely popular Lord Thyme-Slipp series, regularly fusing historical fact with hysterical, mythical or mysterious fiction.

Although predominantly classified as a children’s and YA author, Jonas Lane’s books appeal to all ages and have been highly successful with older readers at the book fairs and festivals he attends, his audience being those who are still young at heart, highly imaginative and hungry for thrills and adventure, both light and dark.

Every novel Jonas has had published to date has been rated as 5-star by Amazon reviewers, as well as those using traditional reviewing methods. 

Not only that, but he has been published nationally alongside the likes of Dame Floella Benjamin, Brian Moses and Andrew Jennings in the highly popular Comprehension Ninja series and has performed live reading sessions on the same bill as other nationally and international renowned authors such as Julia Jarman, Michelle Robinson, Lou Treleaven and Olaf Falafel.

When not writing or teaching, Jonas delivers assemblies and runs his own creative writing workshops in schools, inspiring the next generation of writers and authors having published several of the Young Writers Anthology Series of books. Jonas has also written, compiled and published the popular A Handbook for Young Writers to help aid all those who want to improve their writing.
